Gravitation
Gravitation is a unique strategy game where you select colored tiles called Gravitons. The object of the game is to group as many of the Gravitons together as possible and remove them. The more that are grouped together the more points you get.
When a Graviton is removed all the dissimilar colored Gravitons will drop to fill the void left by the removed Gravitons. However.... You have the power to change the force of gravity.
You do this by moving the gravity bar.
You move the gravity bar by selecting the grey area that surrounds the Gravitons. Once moved all the Gravitons will be pulled toward the bar. Any new Gravitons that fall will be pulled in that direction as well.
Lets take a closer look at game play.
Graviton Removal
To remove Gravitons from the playing field you select them with the stylus. Once selected they will be highlighted with a grey outline and the possible score will be displayed.
To remove the Gravitons simply click one of the selected tiles. All the selected Gravitons will be removed and you score will be updated.
Magic Gravs
When you remove 5 or more Gravitons you get what is called a Magic Grav.
Magic graves allow you to change the color of the currently selected Gravitons. This is how it works.
First select some Gravitons from the playing field.
Then select one of your Magic Gravs. The color of all the selected Gravitons will be changed to the color of your Magic Grav. That Magic Grav will then be removed.
Ultra Grav
Up around level 25 you have a 1 in 9 chance to get an
Ultra Grav.
The
Ultra grave will change all adjacent colors next to the current
selection to the color of that selection. As your game level goes
up the chance to get the Ultra Grav also goes up.
Status Bar
The lower portion of the display shows you your current score as well as the score you need to reach to proceed to the next level.
There is also a green progress bare that gives you a visual representation of how far you need to go.
You can always see what your current level is by checking the level indicator located on the status bar.
Removing Graviton Colors
When you remove all of a single color of Gravitons you get a bonus. In order to do this you must must remove at least 8 Gravitons in one shot. No other Gravitons of that color can remain. You will get a bonus based on your current level and 8 new Gravitons will drop onto the playing field.
The key to gaining levels in Gravitation is the ability to remove large number of Gravitons as well as remove the colors in one shot. This will yield very high scores. Look at sacrificing single Gravitons to set up a 5 tile removal so that you can gain a Magic Grav. Then use these to create large blocks of Gravitons.
Note that up around level 35 or so you will get double Graviton drops and bonuses. At higher levels even more Gravitons will drop. At levels below 35 you have a 1 in 3 chance of getting a double Graviton drop.
A Few More Hints
As the game progress more Graviton colors will be added. This will make game play harder but will yield higher scores. Also as game play progresses the number of colors needed for a bonus will drop. For instance at level 9 you will only need 7 grouped colors to gain the bonus on a color removal.
The upper status bar shows you how many Graviton colors are in play as well as the number of Gravitons needed for the color removal bonus.
Your chances of getting a Ultra Grav are displayed as a row of red balls. These wont start until level 25.
Your double and triple graviton drops will be displayed as green balls. These wont start until level 35.
