ListAtHand

ListAtHand is a simple list manager.  It allows you to maintain multiple lists with each entry up to 50 characters.  There is no limit to the number of items in each list or to the number of lists.

Note that the Demo is limited to 25 entries and 2 lists.

Each entry has a small check box that can be used to move the checked entry to the bottom of the list.

We use our own proprietary database that is extremely efficient and fast.

Settings

The Settings menu gives you 6 settings that determine how the lists operates.

Sound

ListAtHand has many sound effects for audio confirmation of actions such as adding new entries.  By selecting the sound option my can turn on or off the sound.

Auto PID

When this option is turned on the PID will popup when ever the Entry Field has focus.  This is the normal operation but if you Pocket PC has its own keyboard or you may want to turn this option off.  When turned on you will see the PID popup at the bottom of the screen.

Auto Sort

Items may be sorted when they are entered.  If this option is not selected they will be displayed in the order that they were entered.  Note that if sort is on and you delete an item all the current entries will be written in sort order.

Auto Hide

When ever an item on the list is checked this option will cause the entry to be moved to the bottom of the list.

When the check is removed the entry will move back into its original position.

Note that when Auto Hide is turned on so is Auto Sort.

Auto Caps

The Entry Field will always capitalize the first character for you.  If the Auto Caps option is turned on each word will be capitalized.

Key Clicks

Each time a key is entered into an Entry Field a click sound will be heard if this option is turned on.

Lists

There are 6 operations you may perform on the actual lists.

Pick a List

This option allows you to select a list from all the lists in your ListAtHand Directory.

By default ListAtHand names all the files as ListX.Lst where X is a number.  You can rename a list if you like. If you do decide to rename a list make sure you unload ListAtHand first.  When you restart the program it will automatically use the newly named list.  This also works if you want to make a copy of a list.

From time to time KRMicros may place lists on Handango or the KRMicros web site.  Simply copy these lists into your ListAtHand directory.

Add New List

This option allows you to create a new list.

Once the option is selected a new list is created with the description New List.  You are then placed in List Edit mode so you may change the description.  Just change the name and hit OK.

Edit List Name

You may change the list description at any time by selecting this option.  Note that if you provide commas the data will be broken into fields when you use the Display Item option.   Note that only the first field will be used in the description field at the top of the form.

Clear List

This option will delete all entries in the current list.

Delete List

This option deletes all entries and removes the list.

Display Totals

This option will allow you to total and display certain fields.

You mark a field to be totaled by preceding the field name with a ~.

Now when you select the Display Totals option the Cost field shown here will be totaled for you.

You may also set which options get totaled of the indicated field by using the + or - character following the ~.

~ Total All Entries
~+ Total only Selected Entries (Checked)
~- Total only Non Selected Entries (UnChecked)
~+- Total Both Selected and Non Selected Entries and display them Both.

Operation

Operation is very simple.  Simply use the arrow buttons at the top of the display to move from list to list.

Once a list is selected simply add or edit entries at will.  The data is saved each time you do an operation so you don't have to worry about loosing data.

To exit the program select Unload from the File Menu.
